SPECIAL TOUCH - JULY NEWSLETTER
JULY Newsletter
Greetings and blessings to all friends of the Hispanic Initiative! Below we share this month’s news. God is doing exciting things and we are very happy for you to be part of them.
VOLUNTEER IN SPECIAL TOUCH
In an average community, 15% of its people have some kind of disability, 5% so severe that they need personal assistance. Most of these people do not go to church because the church is not prepared to receive and care for them, and this group is largely unreached.
During the summer, Fabian became a volunteer for one week at Special Touch Camp, a camp for adults with disabilities. He took care of a team of four people with ages of 34, 55, 62, and 79 years. However, due to their disability, their thought processes were similar to a four-year old. Fabian served as a caregiver, helping them have a great time at camp. Despite their disabilities, they could understand the gospel, pray, and ask for prayer for their needs.
As directors of the Multicultural Department, we are identifying different cultures that make up our community, and we want to use what we have learned with the Hispanic Initiative to reach diverse groups in Kentucky. One of these diverse groups is the Special Needs community. We are praying for a married couple with the heart to minister to disabled people through the Multicultural Department.

HELPING A PASTOR
One of our missions is to help Hispanic ministries grow. This month Fabian had the opportunity to fill in for a pastor/wife team who had to be out of town, and got to carry out some of the things pastors do on a daily basis. It was a great learning experience to visit people at home, visit the hospital to pray for a sick church member, attend the weekly Bible studies, and preach three services at the church. Thank you for the opportunity to serve, Iglesia Familiar Maná in Frankfort!
NEW STORE / HELPING FINANCE LOCAL MINISTERS
This month we rented a space to open a store in a Peddler’s mall in Georgetown, KY. The vision of this business is to support ministry.
We want to help ministers who are unable to live off of their church income alone, to start businesses that will allow them to invest time in ministry, while providing financial stability for their families. A local pastor is going to be maintaining this booth. Help us pray for this business to prosper and provide resources for the Kingdom of God.
Please pray for us:
• For the well being of our family, and for a renewed fire to continue our ministry
• For a married couple with the heart to minister to disabled people
• For the new store to become a successful producing resources for the Kingdom business
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT!
YOU ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS!
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now ... (Philippians 1:3-5, NIV)
