GROWTH - WINTER 2021 NEWSLETTER
Dear friends, family and ministry partners, here is a good report of what the Lord is doing in our family and ministry.
PRAISE GOD!
We are so happy to announce the birth of our 5th child, James Paul. Thank you to all who prayed for us!! He was born almost 6 weeks early due to risks for Rebekah if she tried to carry him any longer. The Lord was guiding the surgeons and medical team and we had the best possible outcome! After a short stay for Rebekah, and only 12 days in the NICU for Baby JP, we are all healthy, healing, and home together! All glory to God!!! He was undeniably at work!
November saw a wonderful gathering together of our KMN Hispanic pastors. We had an in-person meeting and fellowship, then most stayed to celebrate Iglesia Bethel London's anniversary celebration. We announced Pastor Carlos Castelan as the new Hispanic Ministries Coordinator. His role will be to serve our Hispanic Churches and assist Fabian.
-In 2021 we will focus on forming our team to inspire and train Hispanic pastors and leaders. The Hispanic Ministries team is the Spanish bridge from the Ky Ministry Network for their various departments and ministries. Having the Team set in place will enable us to focus on evangelism and church planting
-A great connection was made in Eastern Kentucky that we are hopeful will become a church plant. Pray for a church planter!
-A new opportunity for low frequency radio stations has opened up! For the first time in many years, the FCC is accepting applications for radio stations. This is an incredible opportunity to start pioneer Christian Radio Stations in Spanish. All of our Radio Latido content is Christ-centered and the thrust is evangelistic in nature. Please pray with us regarding a low frequency channel!
-There is a new Hispanic Ministry starting up this year in Frankfort, Ky! Congratulations Pastor Gilberto and sister Nancy Hidalgo, new multicultural pastors in Frankfort. Glory to God!!
OUR 2021 DESIRES
- To have 40 churches apply to the FCC for low range frequencies to have Radio Latido available to reach Spanish-speakers.
-To strategize and partner with our Hispanic churches in outreach and evangelism. 2020 has taught us that we have to think out of the box! We will be doing outdoor evangelistic events, using the projector and projector screen, and taking advantage of FM transmitters as a part of our strategy.
We want to see 10 people saved per church, so we will be aggressively focused on evangelism and discipleship in our training.
-2020 started the Black Community Engagement Initiative. This year, 2021, our prayerful desire is to help the district become more intentional in diversity to reach black communities. Our focus and prayer is for unity and engagement. We have a Zoom prayer meeting the first Tuesday of every month.
