MINISTRY IN HEMP FIELDS - JUNE NEWSLETTER

June Newsletter

Hello family, friends and ministry partners. Happy Fathers Day to you all, may our Heavenly Father bless you!

THE BEST FATHER’S DAY PRESENT

On June 16, Fabian received the best possible Father’s Day present! Our fourth baby was born healthy and strong. Baby Rafael weighed 9 lbs 10 oz and was 20 inches long. As some of you may know the baby was side-lying in the womb, and we were looking at an early delivery if he didn’t turn on his own.

But God answers prayer! Thank you to our family, friends, and many of our supporters who joined us in prayer! After turning, Baby Rafael was born almost a week after his due date, exactly on Father’s Day. The rest of the kids are so happy to have their little brother and mom at home, and Rebekah and Rafael are doing great.

Baby Rafael is a miracle and is finally here!

SHARING THE GOSPEL IN RURAL KENTUCKY

Medical Hemp fields, Lancaster, Kentucky

This month we had the opportunity to connect Pastor Windel from Lancaster, KY, who is interested in starting a Hispanic ministry in his church, with Pastor Carlos from London, KY. We are hoping to start a new Hispanic Ministry in the Lancaster area.

As part of what we do in the Hispanic Initiative, we went out to find where Hispanic people are to build relationship and share the gospel in Spanish to help start this ministry. We look to find both saved and lost people with the need for Gods word and a congregation that can serve their spiritual needs in a language they can understand. We connected with a local christian farmer who attends pastor Windel’s congregation and he introduces us to about 15 Hispanics who were working his medicine hemp fields.

It was surprising to see that Hispanics were working this medical marijuana fields. But we were even more surprise when we realized most of them are open to the Gospel and none of them attended a local church.

Medical Hemp has a THC concentration of less than 0.3%

and s harvested legally for medical purposes.

We asked if they would be interested in attending a Spanish service and most of them said they would. Many of them are seasonal migrant workers who live at a farm provided housing. They don’t have their own transportation and going to church one or two hours away would be almost impossible for them. Others were locals who were also open to the Gospel but did not attend church. We are thankful for congregations and pastors who see the need and are willing to go out of their way to pray and possibly start a Hispanic ministry.

Please pray for Lancaster, KY; for the ministers who will serve this hispanic community and for our Hispanic initiative. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few, we nee to pray to the Father that he would send the laborers. And if God is calling you to minister as a labour please let us know. The need is great and the workers are few!

Please pray for us:

• For health and strength for each member of our family

• For a Hispanic Ministry to be planted in Lancaster, KY

• For divine connections with pastors and ministers willing to come to serve in Kentucky
