CONNECTIONS DESPITE RESTRICTIONS- AUGUST 2020 NEWSLETTER

Welcome to our August 2020 Newsletter

Dear Friends, Family and ministry partners, Blessings from the hills of Kentucky, God is good and here are some good news regarding ministry.

Connections despite Restrictions!

During the month of July, the Governor of KY announced new restrictions for churches, asking them to refrain from in-person meetings and continue with online services. Despite this, we were still able to connect with pastors and leaders by phone, video calls, and personal visits with social distancing. Churches are re-opening, but, just as in many places, we are all unsure of what the future holds. Fortunately, we continue to help churches be strengthened.

One of the fun things this past July was to volunteer at Iglesia Familiar Mana, in partnership with New Harvest AG in Frankfort, to assist the Hispanic community with school registration and groceries. Also, Fabian was invited to translate at a Bilingual Service at “My Church,” in Georgetown, Ky. It was a face-to-face service with good attendance. It was great to see the church hungry to hear the word of God after so long without having in-person services. We are helping churches strengthen their online presence and are creating a plan to encourage them to promote their ministries with online advertising.

New Initiative!

Through KMN's Multicultural Department, we have launched something called the Black Community Initiative. The team is comprised of Black and African American members from churches across our state, along with the Multicultural director and a few others. Our desire is to equip churches, ministers, and their members to be intentionally evangelistic and have an inclusive approach in their black communities.

The vision of this initiative is to see a healthy ministry, led by the Holy Spirit, in every African-American community, especially in communities where there is an existing AG church. Please keep this at the top of your prayer list. In light of all of the recent social tensions, we are praying that God tears down barriers as his Love breaks through.!

Two New Hispanic Ministers for Kentucky on the way!

We have two new Hispanic pastors that have felt a call to serve in Kentucky! The first is a pastor from New York, coming to visit us in October. The second is a Bolivian pastor, who has a desire to serve in Ky. We have talked to churches and pastors about them and we are looking for the best options for them to start Hispanic ministries.

We have been praying for God to send the laborers, and HE IS! Glory to God! Despite the pandemic, and despite worldwide confusion, God is STILL working! Please be in prayer that the Lord confirms their calling to Ky and blesses them as they partner with established ministries to start a new Hispanic work.

Please pray for us!

  • Pray the Lord to confirm his calling for the two new pastors coming to KY

  • Pray for the Black Community Initiative

  • For the Live radio broadcasts to be a tool to reach souls for Christ

  • For our family, especially a healthy pregnancy for Rebekah

Sincerely, Your Partners in Ministry,

Fabian & Rebekah Sanchez
