KMN CONVENTION - MAY NEWSLETTER
May Newsletter
We have great news to share this month! We are helping an international pastor acclimate to the US, coming all of the way from Ecuador. Our friend and co-laborer Alex Toledo visited Kentucky from Mexico City, and we received BGMC funds to buy new translation equipment! On a personal note, our baby’s due date is around the corner. God is on the move!
KMN CONVENTION REPORT
As partners of the KMN, we had the privilege to attend KMN Annual Conference. For two days, we were able to connect with pastors from all around KY and share with them our heart for Hispanics spread across the state. We were impacted by the testimony of the former Missions Directors, Paul and Betty Branham, who have faithfully served 41 years, sending laborers throughout the globe. Also, the Hispanic Initiative set a translation booth and we were able to provide Spanish and French translation for the conference.

Our friend and collaborator Alex Toledo flew all the way from Mexico City to help us set up everything using his talents as a graphic designer. In his own words “I’m impressed on how hard everyone in KMN worked to make this happen, and I feel I’m in the right place after learning how missions-oriented these people are. Now I understand why God planted the Hispanic Initiative in this very place.”

FIRST PASTOR BROUGHT FROM ECUADOR
Pastor Miguel Bermeo ministering in Camino del Rey (Kingsway) Church in Versailles, Kentucky
We were so excited to be at the very first service of Camino del Rey (Kingsway) Hispanic church with Pastor Miguel Bermeo in Versailles, Ky. He and his family moved from Ecuador two months ago, and we are helping them through the process of adapting to the American culture and ministry context.
Miguel and his wife Silvia used to work with Unsión TV ( a Spanish television network based in Cuenca, Ecuador, led by missionary Bill McDonald), but always knew he was called to move to the States to become a pastor. He is an international pastor a church in Kentucky has help relocate to the US for ministry purpose. We are blessed to be a small part of what the Lord is doing through Kingsway Church.
TRANSLATION EQUIPMENT
One of the first and easiest steps to reach your hispanic community is to translate your church services. You just need a person that is bilingual to kickstart the ministry. This past month, through the efforts of many children on BGMC, we received a budget to buy a brand new translation equipment set. This will allow us to teach churches how to start a translation ministry and to train interpreters to make the Message accessible to their community in their own language.
Translation Equipments will allow us to train others to minister to Hispanics in their community
BABY'S DUE DATE IS AROUND THE CORNER
Rebekah’s due date is June 10th! Baby is almost here. To all of you who follow our communications, your guesses were right! His name is Rafael, which comes from Jehovah Rapha, “The Lord our Healer.” Please pray for a healthy delivery and recovery for both him and Rebekah. Stay tuned to our social media for pictures to come. And, by the way, follow us on Facebook if you don’t already. Just type in Hispanic Initiative.
Please pray for us:
• For a healthy delivery and fast recovery for Rebekah and the baby
• For strength and wisdom for our team as we move forward
• For pastor Miguel Bermeo and his family as they adapt to the US culture and ministry context
