December Newsletter - Season of Expectancy
The Sanchez Family - Hispanic Initiative
Last March we visited “My Church” in Georgetown, KY, sharing the Hispanic Initiative’s vision and a message of salvation. We also felt led by the Holy Spirit to pray for women who were having difficulty getting pregnant.
Just a few weeks ago, we went back to the same church to translate a service into Spanish. During our translation, a lady came to the altar to share a testimony. Her testimony was that back in March, when we had shared about the Hispanic Initiative at that church, she rededicated her life to Christ, and prayed for her barren womb. After nine miscarriages in the past, to our surprise, she’s now 28 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby! Praise God!
SEASON OF EXPECTANCY
As you know we are almost at 100% of our budget and thanks to your prayers and support, we will soon have 100% of our time focus on ministry. Thank you!
As we continue to pray, work, and push forward with the Hispanic Initiative, we believe that as this lady who received a touch from the Lord, and now is pregnant, there are many English-speaking congregations whose hearts have been touched, and a vision has been planted to birth a Hispanic ministry in their congregation.
This is a pregnancy season in the Spirit, and we believe we’re about to see the birth of a huge movement in the form of many Hispanic ministries throughout rural America, starting in Kentucky.
FIRST CHURCH PLANT SOON
In fact, we are excited to announce one of our first Hispanic church plants in KY. Back in June, after speaking to a local pastor about our ministry, his congregation sensed the Holy Spirit leading them to buy a building and help start the first official Hispanic church in their town. We connected them with a pastor, and now, early next year we will see the birth of this new Hispanic Ministry! The Hispanic Initiative will be walking alongside this new congregation to see it grow and give fruit, bringing many to the feet of Jesus.
We will also be launching our Hispanic Initiative web page, which will help us make connections between English-speaking churches who want to start a Hispanic Ministry, and potential Hispanic Ministers willing to serve these communities. The web page will also function as part of our resource center for Hispanic Ministries.
Please keep the Initiative and us in prayers..
Please pray for us:
• For the health of Rebekah and the baby
• For strength and wisdom for our team as we close the year
• For our first church plant in Kentucky
