Greetings and blessings to all friends of the Hispanic Initiative! Below we share this month’s news. God is doing exciting things and we are very happy for you to be part of them..
PASTORS AND LEADERS EVENT
In the month of September we had our first of many meetings for our Hispanic pastors and leaders that are connected to the Kentucky Ministry Network and the Hispanic Initiative. We are calling it “Conectate” or “Get Connected.” The purpose of these meetings is to encourage, equip, and build unity between Hispanic pastors, leaders, and congregations, fostering an environment of fellowship, and providing training. Unity is key to plant Hispanic ministries in the area!
Our first event, “Conectate” was a success, and many pastors and ministry leaders were excited to meet one other and work together in the near future. We had nearly 30 people in attendance, representing five out of seven Hispanic churches! Each pastor and church received books and evangelism materials as a gift from the Hispanic Initiative. (Thank you KMN and Hispanic Initiative partners for sponsoring this event and gifts!)

RADIOLATIDO.COM (BEAT RADIO)
We have a brand new logo for the online radio station
Spanish radio stations in Kentucky are almost non-existent, and if you do happen to stumble across one, it is almost guaranteed be a secular one. We have found a need for a full time Christian radio station to reach Hispanics with the message of Jesus Christ in a relational way.
This month we met with several Hispanic Kentucky leaders and pastors who have a combined experience of over 50 years in radio, and are now making plans to start an online Radio station in Spanish. The mission is to evangelize, inspire, and inform the Hispanic community in KY through music, the Word of God, and talk radio addressing relational topics. Our station will be called, “RadioLatido.com.”
Please keep this matter in prayer and if you have experience with the FCC and how to obtain an FM or AM station please let us know! We need your help.
TRAVELING TO TEXAS
AND MANY KENTUCKY PLACES
In the months of August and September, we traveled over 6800 miles and over 70 hours to promote Hispanic church planting; God’s call to ministry for individuals, and investigate further a possible mission trip to Kentucky from churches in Texas. It has been a blessing to see people come to know Jesus and others begin to take steps of faith into full time ministry..
